Your building is unique, and so are your energy-saving needs. If your new construction or facility improvement projects don’t fit into the parameters of our other money-saving programs, you may still earn rebates with our Custom Savings Program. In fact, Georgia Power gives you rebates based on your custom project’s estimated energy savings – up to $75,000 per building per year up to 50% of the project cost.
Take advantage of custom savings:
Step 1
Identify
Identify the energy conservation measure or equipment you’d like to install at your facility.
Before purchasing or installing the equipment, contact Georgia Power to request pre-approval* and to confirm if your equipment choice is qualified for rebates.
Step 2
Apply
Submit details about the equipment to verify qualifications for rebates. You’ll need to submit supporting documentation: energy calculations for each energy efficiency measure, equipment specification sheets, Payee Designation Form, and a completed IRS W-9 form.

Step 3
Get Approved
Get approved by Georgia Power – we’ll send you a confirmation email. You can move forward with your equipment purchase and installation with a Trade Ally or a contractor of your choosing.
Step 4
Receive Rebate
Upload the final invoice within 60 days of completing your project. Rebates are calculated at a rate of $0.10/kWh of energy saved and capped at $75,000 per building per year and up to 50% of the project cost.
Georgia Power will send your rebate in the mail within 6 weeks of receiving your final invoice.
All projects must comply with the Terms & Conditions.
*Project pre-approval requirement has been waived until further notice. Pre-approval is still recommended when possible, as all projects and equipment are still subject to program pre-conditions and requirements.

Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization Technology Rebates
Businesses are installing needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI) systems to help improve clean air in facilities.
We want to help you create a safer and healthier environment in your business. You can earn Custom Savings rebates for installing NPBI equipment paired with outdoor air reduction measures.
All projects must comply with the ASHRAE 62.1 standard for ventilation for acceptable indoor air quality.

Who is eligible for Custom Savings rebates?
Any commercial customer receiving retail electric service from Georgia Power is eligible for the Custom Savings Program. The Custom Savings Program provides rebates for the implementation of measurable and verifiable energy efficiency measures that fall outside of our other energy efficiency programs.
What are Custom Savings rebates based on?
Custom Savings rebates are calculated at a rate of $0.10/kWh of energy saved and capped at $75,000 per building/year up to 50% of the project cost. For chiller plants that serve multiple buildings, the limit is $250,000 per chiller plant/year up to 50% of the project cost.
Could applications be submitted for Custom Savings and Prescriptive program rebates?
Yes. Customers and/or their contractors can apply for both Custom Savings and Prescriptive program rebates as the measures in these programs are different. Applications should be submitted separately.
